FreeRange Postponed Again!

April 7th, 2008

To say that 2008 for FreeRange has been challenging is a bit of an understatement! Since running into irreparable difficulties at our festival site in Eastleigh our team has been determined to keep the show on the road. However, with limited time to address more hurdles such as escalating costs, restricted capacity and limited licensing hours to feature all the artists, production and entertainment to deliver a truly outstanding and memorable event, it is with great regret that we have taken the very difficult decision to cancel FreeRange Undercover in the function suites at St Mary’s Stadium.

We are sincerely sorry for the confusion over the last few months and for any inconvenience that we may have caused as a result. We kindly ask that the many people who have purchased tickets for FreeRange to contact the place of purchase for a full refund, including any booking fees (which will be reimbursed to the retailer directly by ourselves).

Finally, we would like to thank Solent University Students’ Union, The Southern Daily Echo & Scene South Magazine, Listed Magazine, Atelier Studios, Squeeze 18, Risks Contained, BCS Audio, Primary, Coda, St Mary’s Stadium, DV8 Magazine, Orange Rooms, Southampton City Council Events, Southampton Guildhall, Corona and TixMob, and everyone else who has worked tirelessly to try and keep the show on the road.

FreeRange will be back later in 2008/2009 (3rd time lucky)!
Keep checking www.freerangefestival.com for the latest news.

In the meantime, do feel free to join us for a now very premature FreeRange warm-up party at Orange Rooms on Friday 11th April 2008!

Festival postponed

March 12th, 2008

FreeRange, Southampton’s newest festival for 2008, featuring Dizzee Rascal and Zane Lowe, has been postponed, due to site difficulties at Eastleigh’s Stoneham Park. The good news is that the organisers of the 5,000 capacity event are in talks with Southampton City Council about moving the festival to Southampton city centre. A new date will be announced shortly.
